I purchased the Swisher E4-U3002 Pole Pruner attachment and also the Swisher E4-U3000 Multi-tool . Having never owned any Swisher tools before It appears that they used Shindaiwa parts to assemble this attachment ( and the Multi-tool ) . I do own a few Shindaiwa gas powered weed trimmers and always get the results I need from them . This is also true with the results I got from using my new Swisher tools. The attachment snaps on and off pretty easily from the multi-tool and is very easy to transport in a vehicle or for storing when they are not attached to each other. The chain lube oil tank that is on the attachment holds the oil without leaking it everytime the tool gets put down ( unlike my Echo chainsaw which leaves a small puddle of oil everywhere that tool sits ). The pruner attachment worked very well with the multi-tool for cutting tree branches that my chainsaw could not reach. I am very pleased with my purchase of this tool and will be looking at other Swisher attachments .

First let me confess that this was a compulsive purchase and I was not sure if I needed it.
I used it for the first time last weekend and I must say, this is one of my best attachments I purchased for my Swisher E4-U3000.
- Construction: It is solid construction like all other Swisher heads.
- Length: is long enough for almost 60% of applications around my house. Considering the heavy construction, longer length would be heavier and impractical.
- Assembly: It was easy, but I made a mistake the first time and installed chain in wrong direction.
- Attachment: Here is the only negative thing about this tool; it is just a bit harder to connect this attachment due to long length of the pole. It is not very difficult but it takes a bit longer to handle the pole and to align it. You may need to come up with a technique to raise the chain side a little bit.
- Applications: It works fine on dry branches as well as green palm leaves. I even used this tool to hedge hard to reach tiny branches of some of my trees. You will however have some cleaning to do after cutting wet palm leaves since the fine chips gets stuck inside the head and needs to be cleaned.
Overall it does excellent job and I am happy for the money I spent on it.

this attachment is great. heavy construction and a long reach. if you buy this product you will not be disappointed. I would buy this product again.
