best way i know to bathe a babyOct 04, 2007
By glassberry i looked around at reviews before putting this on my registry and i am so glad that i did. this is the easiest way i can think of to bathe a baby, so much better than bulky plastic tubs. you just use it in a low level of water in the family bathtub. the material is breathable and soft, but don't be fooled because it dries out easily and quickly too. it only takes about 15 minutes to go from saturated to completely dry. this product laughs in the face of mildew. i especially like the loop that makes it easy to hang up for drying or out-of-the-way storage. you don't have to sacrifice comfort for function.
if you are looking for possible negative aspects, the pillow floats a bit if you fill the tub very full. it isn't really a problem , but maybe worth mentioning if you fear your baby may float away to the other end of the bathtub. the metal rod on the back has come off, but it is really so simple to reposition that i wouldn't call that a "con" either. it hasn't ever come off when my baby was on it... just when i was prepping the bath area.

Good idea, poor quality.Jul 15, 2008
By K. Stroud We bought this one to replace our Leachco Safter Bather, which we had used for over 2 years and was getting worn and discolored. I liked the fact that the Summer Infant one was also soft, unlike the hard plastic ones, and could conform to different sinks and the like. It feels nice and plushy and doesn't cover the drain in my sink like the Leachco one did (you should have seen the look on my daughter's face when I would have to lift her butt and she could hear all the water suddenly drain). It also drains of water faster since the outer rim of the bather does not absorb water but rather contains small styrofoam balls to cushion but not absorb. Great idea! I was a little disappointed that because of the bar on the underside to prop up the bather, I had less flexibility on how I had it in my sink than the Leachco. As my daughter got bigger, with the Leachco, I could turn the bather to an angel so her head and feet were at the corners of the sink and she could still lay down. With the Summer Infant, she spends most of her time sitting up.
My big problem is that after less than a month after buying the Summer Infant bather, and using it only once or twice a week, it has a hole and the styrofoam balls fall out all over my sink. We never took it anywhere and it never received any rough treatment. There has never been anything in the sink to puncture it.
It was a good idea (minus the bar to prop up one end) but the quality is such that it does not last.

excellent tubFeb 08, 2008
By Carrie A. Tamson this is an excellent tub. my infant loves it. i use it in the kitchen sink. it fits perfectly. he stays in place, yet he has plenty of room to move around. i can even put him on his tummy to wash his backside. he does not slip at all. i hang it in the shower to dry. there is a great loop for hanging.

Comfy & has support for my newbornSep 12, 2008

This bath support is the best one I have purchased so far. I have 3 kids and this one by far is the best. It is great in the sink when your baby is a new born as well as in the bath tub when the baby gets a little older. It has a back supprt that keeps it elevated or you can remove it when you have it in the sink. Also the material absorbs warmth so your baby doesn't get too cold and is very soft and cushiony due to the beads it has in the filling. I recommend this!!!! A+++++
Not badMay 01, 2012
By Little Green Elephant We really like this. It's easy set-up and baby seems comfortable. The recline is good for unsupported seaters, and when sitting by themselves you can lay it flat, but it will still cushion the baby. We've been using it for four months and don't have a problem with mold. I don't know how others are leaving this to dry, but you can't hang it upright, because water will collect and set on one end. Fold it in half, mesh side out, and water will drip out without a problem. It'll dry just fine. Minus one star because of the kickstand, wich can sometimes be a bit tricky, but nothing bad enough to deter us from using the product.
