5Works better than antibioticsOct 01, 2007
By T. McVey
I have had a MRSA staph infection on my arms and legs for over a year. I live in the tropics and it's very hard to keep the wounds dry. I tried a run of oral antibiotics with no results. I tried antibiotic creams and ointments with some relief. Then I found StaphAseptic. It starts to heal the sores in a few days. I apply it two or three times a day and it is really keeping the infection at bay. Now when I get a new sore, this ointment keeps the wound to the size of a pea, instead of the huge sores I had before and with no pain or swelling. And it smells good and isn't greasy. My only complaint is the packaging. You have to squeeze the tube really hard to get the last ounce out of it. I thought the tube was empty and I didn't have another one, so I just kept squeezing and it lasted for another month.

5Finally something that works!Dec 11, 2010
By Synthia
I contracted a MRSA infection from a family member about 6 months ago. The first abcess that formed was huge and very painful. After a few days of agony I finally went to the hospital and got it lanced/drained and put on cephalexin and bactrim. The first one did go away upon finishing the course of anitbiotics but about 2 weeks later, I got another abcess and another and another. After going to the doctors three different times for various anitbiotics and trying every thing else- neosporin, bacitracin, peroxide, rubbing alcohol, Hibiclens (did work a little), cutting most of the sugar out of my diet, heat treatment ect. Pretty much EVERYTHING and nothing worked. The family member who I got the MRSA from in the first place works in a factory and the on-call Doc. there told him to get StaphAseptic. I went and bought some also from Rite Aid drug store for abour $16, took a shower cleaned the areas with Hiniclens soap let it dry and generously applied staphaseptic over the area, let it dry for about 5 minutes and got dressed. After repeating this for about 3 days (applied 3-5 times per day) most of the sores were gone and the ones that were not were pretty close to being completely healed. I know the box says "not for existing infections" but that is probably because the company can not make the promise that this *will* work for MRSA. Well, it did for me and the other family member. I keep using it (especially after shaving my legs as this is when I would get the worst outbreaks)and about 6 weeks later, I have not had any outbreaks or signs of a MRSA flare up. I can't recommend this product highly enough. The only issue is the product not being widely available in stores but in my experience this price plus shipping is cheaper on Amazon that at our drug stores anyways. Don't hesitate to buy this, it really does work.

5Thorough antisepticAug 15, 2008
By L. Clark
Getting over an abscess infected with MRSA required a stronger form of antiseptic for preventative measure, to decrease the likelihood of future MRSA infections. This product, purchased here for that purpose works very well as a first aid antibiotic.

I have been using it for about a month now on any breaks of skin near the previously infected area and anything more than minuscule elsewhere on the body. I've found the gel dries and stays on the skin better than any other antiseptics I've tried (neosporin, polysporin, etc.), making a protective barrier. Additionally, wounds on which I've used this product seem to heal a bit faster and cleaner (less visible early after) than anything else I've used. I feel much safer from repeat MRSA infection using StaphAseptic (corny as the name may be...). I'm glad I got this stuff.

5Fantastic for cuts, scrapes, etcFeb 26, 2010
By The Taminator "There's no going back. You've changed things... forever."
I have given up Neosporin and now keep Staphaseptic in my medicine cabinet as my go-to first aid ointment. It seems to heal my minor injuries much faster than Neosporin. While it may have a very slight sting or tingle on broken skin at first, this lasts only a few seconds and the product really helps with any pain from the wound. It is non-greasy, so it dries and doesn't get on your clothes or anything else. I highly recommend that everyone keep some of this in their medicine cabinet to treat skin problems and injuries.

5GREAT Product!Mar 17, 2009
By Amber Mueller
I suffered multiple outbreaks of MRSA Staph. Now I wash with antimicrobial soap and any bump I get I cover with this product and a bandage. I haven't had a outbreak in 4 months now! I highly recommend this product, not only is it great for staph but as a normal bactericide.
