good contact solution for people with sesative eyesMay 07, 2010
By J. McCabe I really like this saline solution. I have a sensitivity to the preservative that they put in regular contact solution and this one doesnt give me any issues. The only problem is that when you find a good product these days its only around for a short time and then they change it or get rid of it all together. This solution is getting very hard to find.

The best Saline solutionJun 07, 2010
By Sue Four members of my family have been using CIBA VISION SoftWear Saline for Sensitive Eyes for many years. It is the only saline which we can use because it is so gentle on the eyes. It can be used to rinse the eyes too. Recently, I can not find it anywhere. I hope that CIBA VISION will not discontinue a such good product.

The Best and the Most Economical Saline in the MarketJun 04, 2010

Its too bad Ciba Vision no longer offers this Saline. This was by far the best saline in the market. I have used it for about 10 years with no problems. The Antimicrobial solution helps to keep my contact lenses clean and provides long term daily wear. I was lucky to find inventory in Canada where I bought enough Saline to last for a couple of years. IF you can find it, I highly recommend it.

Sadly discontinuedAug 10, 2010
By W. S. Linkous I was heartbroken when I learned from Cibavision that they had discontinued this product due to "declining demand." I have used this product since the early 90s and was forced to try other products several years ago when Ciba took down the product line for reconditioning and it was impossible to find for about 18 months. Everything else I tried burned my eyes. I was overjoyed when I could finally find it again at CVS, and then, when I couldn't even find it there, Amazon had it. I bought 6 bottles 3 months ago not realizing it had been discontinued all together. I probably would have bought 60 bottles if I had known! Shame on Ciba for getting rid of the best saline on the market!

The best saline solution for sensitive eyesJul 31, 2010

It's a sad shame that Ciba Vision has discontinued this product. This was by far the least irritating solution for my own eyes. I have been using this product for 10 years, and if I had known they were going to discontinue this product, I would have at least bought a couple of cases of it.
Most other solutions are the multi-purpose solutions that remove the protein from the contact lenses themselves, and those are great for over-night. But throughout the day, as you re-wet your eyes, this saline solution was the easiest on them, cooled them, made them feel clean, and if eyes could be happy, they would be jumping for joy upon application of this product. Everything else, used as a replacement, simply seems to burn the eye.
I hope Ciba Vision decides to return this product to the shelf. Until then, any recommendations of something similar as a replacement would be wonderful.
