I love the soft scent of Red Door. This is a great product to wear if you work with the public. The scent lasts all day. I am always receiving comments on my fragrence.

The problem with this scent is that its getting WEAKER AND WEAKER BY THE YEAR!!!!!!! I have to apply this three times a day now where back in the nineties I only had to apply it once and that was it. Im not spending my hard earned money on something that I have to use 3X as much to get the same effect of what used to be. Im not the only one who is noticing this WEAK AND WATERED DOWN VERSION OF PERFUME these days. Elizabeth Arden is trending this way with all the perfumes now. Someone noticed this in 5th Avenue perfume too! I will not be buying another bottle of this thats for sure. Good luck Elizabeth Arden, women do know the difference!!!!!!!

My mother has been wearing Red Door for years. Decades? Anyway, to me, the smell of Red Door reminds me of my mother and all of the good things that go along with that. This is one of those fabulous scents that can become a part of the fabric of your life. I associate the smell with holidays, birthdays and maybe even a night out at the casino. It's demure, it's soft, but it also has an underlying allure that is sure to please.
As a retired military spouse, my mother has been buying the 3.3 ounce eau de toilette at the BX (Base Exchange) for around $30, and I understand that was often a good value for this fragrance in that volume. What a coup it seemed to find it here on Amazon for just over $23.00 and eligible for Prime shipping! I was able to purchase a bottle as a last minute birthday gift for my mother and have it on her doorstep within 2 business days.
What makes this such an outstanding deal is the ability to get free shipping. Because Amazon ships it from their warehouse it can be combined with Super Saver Shipping, though you'll need to add something else to your order to get to the $25 minimum threshold. If you're a Prime member you don't have to worry about reaching a minimum and you'll enjoy the fast & free 2 day UPS shipping.
This is an item that will stay on our list of favorites and we'll turn to Amazon again and again whenever we need it.

Fragrance is a peculiar thing. I have lots of different scents that I wear. Personally, I think Red Door is okay, but not one of my top ten. However, EVERYTIME I wear it, I get loads of compliments, especially from men, who not only tell me it smells nice, but want to know what it is (I guess so they can go buy it for their special someone). Because the compliments are somewhat baffling to me (since I'm not super crazy about the fragrance myself), I once asked a friend to describe it (without me telling her what it was). She said it smelled like baby powder but with floral notes added on, very pleasant.

I bought this for my s.o. because I simply loved the scent.
Since it's been around a while, it gets an unfair knock as fragrance for old ladies, although I do think lots of older women wear it. To me, anything that has a powdery scent reminds me of an old ladies. This fragrance has ultra-feminine sweet, floral scent without being over-powering. It is subtle, complex, and long lasting. It is not for younger women who gravitate toward sweeter, citrusy smell. At $25 - 30 a bottle for 3.3 oz EDT, I think it's a terrific value.
Cheap priced but definitely not cheap smelling. A classic, 5 star.
