5They may be on to something here...Feb 09, 2007
By Scott Bresinger
After feeling a cold coming on, I went to the local drug store to perform the ritual stocking up for a long sickness. No Time For Colds was sitting amongst the various Zinc lozenges, which I usually ignore since I never found them effective. The box reads "relieves major cold symptoms in 24 hours guaranteed or your money back!" Despite my body being sick, my skepticism was still healthy, but I figured if it didn't work I'd just get the promised refund. Normally, when I get a cold, the symptoms tend to linger for as long as two weeks. After taking some of these chalky, slightly flavored lozenges, I was surprised to find most of the major symptoms had disappeared within a day! While it should be noted that I was also taking another brand of over-the-counter remedy (the kind that stops a runny nose but causes a near-comatose state), that only holds it back for a few hours at a time, not cut it off completely! I think No Time For Colds is the only thing that could have caused this, but of course this is only my personal experience, not a double-blind clinical trial. On the company's web site, the results of just such a clinical trial reveal that their product is somewhat more effective than a placebo (but seemed to work surprisingly well). When all is said and done, though, NTFC seems to have worked for me. What used to be more than a full week of walking around like a character from a George A. Romero movie has been reduced to merely an evening. I plan on keeping a box or two around for the future.

5GREAT STUFFFeb 12, 2007
By J. Mom
I had a cold for 2 weeks and a big Thanksgiving party to host. I tried this the day before and my cold was all but gone the next day. I recently tried it at the first sign of a cold and it disappeared. My son had the same results. I did recommend it to a friend and it didn't help her - but it turns out she had a sinus infection. For colds - I highly recommend this product.

5I too was a skeptic...Sep 21, 2009
By Sarah
I too saw the "guaranteed" and felt "what the heck, I'll try it" I even kept the receipt in the box so when it didn't work I could return it. Never needed it, I am quite surprised and I plan on buying a box to keep around just in case I start to feel sick again.
I work with kids so I get sick several times a year, at least. Usually when the new school year starts, and we get new kids & their germs, I get sick. I never am sure if it is a cold, flu, but whatever it is my throat usually is so irritated and my tonsils so swollen for at least 2 days that I need to stop talking.
I started to feel sniffly and the back of my throat was itchy which usually meant I'd be sick for at least the next 3 days...I bought these at Rite Aid for about $9 along with some airborne and dayquil for when the first two items fail. That was last week and I never got sick! I took one of the airborne boosters and was so turned off by the taste I didn't take anymore (they were on clearance so that explains a lot). I'll probably throw them away. I took all of the No Time For Cold and was surprised when the taste was actually pretty good. I still have the box of dayquil, unopened, I hope I don't need to use it.
I've used Zicam for previous sicknesses which I think is a zinc product as well and that didn't work.
NTFC is my new favorite remedy...we'll see if it works next time.

5AwesomeJan 16, 2009
By Lana
We had just spent 10 hours driving and were about to spent 12 more hours on a flight with my two year old when my husband and I both felt a cold coming on. I was so angry, it was the worst possible time for us to get sick. I went to the grocery store and knowing that I was just going to see a bunch of crap that really wasn't going to do anything to help. When I saw "Guaranteed" on the box, I figured "What have I got to loose?" and bought it.

When we tried the first one, we were surprised and impressed with the flavor. We took the lozenges exactly according to the instructions and we never got sick. I have never gotten sick when I have been able to take these at the onset of cold symptoms. My only problem is that they are difficult to find where I live.

This stuff is amazing. I take it at the first sign of a cold (scratchy throat or sniffles) and I haven't had a cold for over 3 years now! I used to average a couple of bad colds per year.
