False advertising! Tumeric, not Curcumin! Do not buy!Jul 03, 2011

Turmeric is a yellow root made into a powder that is a very cheap Indian spice. It is about 10% Curcumin, which is what makes it yellow and is believed to be responsible for all the medicinal effects of turmeric powder. If you are not sure which you got, turmeric is a mild yellow, whereas curcumin is a brilliant intense yellow almost orange and will quickly stain anything yellow.
I bought this (says on front and online) "Turmeric Curcumin 450mg 95% curcuminoids" because it came with free shipping through Amazon. Online it did not show the label on back of the bottle. I got it in the mail, and it says on the back label, "Turmeric 450mg"; "Curcumin 50mg".
Basically, it is just regular, non-concentrated turmeric powder, put into capsules and falsely advertised as the much more valuable curcumin powder. I could have bought a pound of turmeric powder for $3 at my local Indian store.
I'm immediately sending this back to Amazon, and asking them to remove the item from their website if they value accurate advertising. If they don't, I'll do my shopping elsewhere from now on at sites that tell the truth, instead of being lured in by free shipping.
Awesome Product!Apr 16, 2012
By Brett Branon I have read over and over about these two things and how good they are for you. They were right after a few weeks of taking the supplement i have noticed many different positive changes, I would recommend this to anyone.
Amazing product!Jan 18, 2012
By T. Lofgreen I recently did some research about natural pain relief. I have lower back pain that restricts my daily activities and do not want to rely on prescription medications. Tumeric is a wonderfully healthy product and I am ecstatic that I was able to find it in capsule form. This website gives so much information about Tumeric and how it can help you be healthier - http://www.healthdiaries.com/eatthis/20-health-benefits-of-turmeric.html

turmeric concentrateAug 28, 2011

Actually, Curcumin is the concentrate of Tumeric. I take Curcomin for foot problems associated with diabetes. Rather then call it a concentrate it is the ingredient we want from Tumeric powder.
