Sleeping Better and More importantly waking up feeling betterApr 01, 2012
By Doug Smith I've always been hesitant to try something different for sleep. I've been taking a generic brand of otc sleeping pills for years and besides feeling a bit "slow" upon waking, they've been doing the job in putting to sleep quickly. I figured I can't take these forever so I looked into an alternate choice that might be more natural and safer...I came across Melatonin and 5-HTP Bulk Powder 10 Grams (5-HTP works great with Melatonin). And I gotta say, I am so glad I made the switch.
The idea that they are "natural" relaxants is one thing but the most important benefit to me (at least immediate benefit), is that I'm still going to sleep quickly but I am also sleeping through the night without waking (couldn't always say that about the pills I use to take) and I am waking up not only feeling refreshed and energized but my mood has also done a 180 as I am usually a very moody person but as of more recently I seem to just feel more pleasant around people and situations that in the past would have me freaking out internally.

Had much better results with a different brandJan 27, 2012
By Raymond Ullmer I used Nature Made 3mg Melatonin for two years, which worked great. Within 15 min of popping the pill, I could feel that "time to sleep" signal begin to fire. I ran out of pills, couldnt find the same brand, and bought Nature's Bounty instead. It does NOTHING for me. Maybe it's me, maybe it's not. But i just ordered Nature Made brand again and tossed this one in the trash.

Works Well - Highly RecommendedMay 25, 2011

Melatonin was recommended by my doctor over prescription brands (i.e. Ambien) when I asked for a sleep aid after surgery and we picked up the 10mg size. Surprisingly, it actually worked very well right from the first night. My wife also has started using it and says she is sleeping much better, but my teen son says it leaves him feeling too groggy in the morning.
After doing some more research it seems 10mg is a very high dosage so I have switched to using this 3mg size as the lower dosage works as well without the groggy feeling.
We picked this up locally to try, but will likely order on-line going forward.

It works...but....Sep 28, 2011

I found this product to be very effective getting me to sleep quickly and for a good eight hours....but, it left me with a "hangover" for most of the next day....I tried taking a half-pill and then a quarter-pill and the hangover was deminished but still there..... It may have something to do with drug interaction because I take medication for high blood pressure....so I won't be using this or any other sleep aid...

unbelievableApr 22, 2012
By Zeeshan I'm a medical student with some very erratic sleep habits. I needed something to help me fall asleep in the early afternoon for my post call days and a classmate recommended melatonin. I bought this and wasn't expecting anything but wow, it sure does work. As far as I can gather, all melatonin does is make you really groggy 15-20 minutes after you take it. This allows you to fall asleep really easily and wake up refreshed. I've been using it on and off for a couple of months now and I've noticed no side effects and it isnt addictive.
Give it a shot, its totally worth it.
