Couldn't live without this product (well, comfortably, anyway). I have very slow metabolism and this keeps me from being constipated always. The softgels are a must!

These are docusate sodium 100mg capsules which is the active ingredient in colace. I've found that they work exactly the same and they are also the same size and shape, pretty easy to swallow. This is a much better deal then buying name brand. Docusate sodium is a stool softener - not a stimulant. This means that it just makes it easier to go, but it doesnt stimulate you to go. These are useful if you recently had surgery or are having trouble straining. Because its not a stimulant, its OK to take every day and you wont get "dependent" on them. Recommended dose is at 1-3 capsules daily.

Compare: $10.25 for 400 Member Mark Stool Softener softgels, $24.99 for 60 Colace softgels at Walgreens (plus tax). Each Member Mark softgel is 2.5625 cents, each Colace softgel is 41.65 cents. Same product. Same size.
Do the math. The Colace costs 1,625 percent more than Member Mark!

now i know this is a stool softener and says take 2 but start out slow something in them make the work fast i took one and 2 hours later tops!!it worked and if you took one a day the bottle would last about a yr..worth buying!!
