A review of a scent is difficult to write, because the choice is so personal. With that in mind, though, L'heure Bleue has much to recommend it. It's suitable for both day and night, with both a spicy and a sweet floral aspect. It is quite distinctive, not something one would confuse with anything else. It is long-lasting, but not overwhelming. I do not tire of it, and I like the combination of sophistication and old-fashioned sweetness.

and she loved it and so did I. My girlfriend knows more than I ever knew there was to know about perfumes and she really loves this perfume. She has read every book on the subject, she said it was rated very high in all of them, and knows about the top notes and all that and she raves about it, it even made her rethink some other perfumes that she used to consider good but paled in comparison to this. The price is impossible to beat, I would say if you want to impress a girl or even get a nice gift for a female relative, this is a great one.

The perfume sold by this vendor at a reduced price is a fake!
The smell is different from the original. The color is also different.
This fake perfume should not be allowed to be sold to buyers who think they are getting a break in price on the real thing.
Buyers beware.

They say you love either Guerlain Mitsouko or Guerlain LHB. Well, I'm proof of that. And for me, it's LHB.
LHB is a powdery oriental on me. I understand the references to 'old ladies' but only at the top, and even then it's almost too fleeting to mention. The aldehydes are done properly - they are soft, not screechy or metallic. Let this one develop on your skin - it's so worth it. However, for lasting power, it's best on clothing, at least in its current formulation.
I have a new bottle, and it's extremely soft and wears close to the skin. I keep checking the label, thinking it might be the EdT. No, it's the EdP. I can't imagine over-spraying this one.

I am greatly appreciative for this product. It is unchanged from the memories I have of it years and years ago. Shipping was timely and the product arrived in the original packaging with seal and overwrap. No complaints, all positive for the product and the purveyor. I will say that if this scent is unfamiliar to you, you may want to do a sniff test in a major department store before you order. I adore it and have since I was a teenager, but not everyone does. Shalimar is the most familiar scent of the Guerlain line, I think, and I can't tolerate it at all, yet I love L'Heure Bleue and Samsara.
