Hard to Swallow?Aug 15, 2010 Sure they're hard to swallow! Break them in half on the cut line if that's a problem. Sure it takes 2 to dose 1500 mg...so do the other brands. Sure it's expensive, but try going without it for a week. This med really works! But why buy at Amazon? If you have a Costco membership is cost of $16.86, that's less than 9 cents/day.
Great serviesJul 18, 2010 The seller delivered on time. The product look great. Hopefully, it is helpful for my parents.

Deceptive Labeling!Jul 01, 2010 I take glucosamine diligently. You can see from this review page that I have purchased THIS product through amazon. However, I cannot endorse glucosamine as 'effective' on the basis of any personal experience or any scientific knowledge. I take it because people whose knowledge I respect have told me that it MAY be useful in preventing deterioration of joints. I am a musician; it's my finger joints that I would be willing to protect at any cost. My advisors have recommended double the dosage considered 'standard" - 3000mg per day, and that's what I take.
But glucosamine is expensive at that dosage. I don't believe the cost of manufacture justifies the prices that are charged. I suspect that the profits are excessive. And I'm outraged at the deceptive and exploitative labeling of glucosamine products by virtually every manufacturer. This, along with all other vitamins and nutritional supplements, should be strictly regulated and standardized by the FDA or some other federal watchdog consumer protection agency. Big government is the ordinary citizen's only friend in relation to private industrial giants like the drug and supplement companies.
Kirkland Glucosamine "Extra Strength" is one of the most economical sources I've been able to find. I would have no complaint against the company if it were not for the blatantly misleading labeling and incomplete product info here on amazon. The label boldly trumpets "1500mg". Nowhere on the label, front or back, large print or small, does it acknowledge that each tablet actually contains 750mg of glucosamine. Reading the tight print of the "Supplement Facts", one will find that a "Serving Size" is 2 tablets, and that such a serving size delivers the 1500mg. Thus, there are not 375 servings in the package, but only 187.5. The product may be twice as expensive as the incautious buyer is led to presume.
Yes, yes, I understand the notion of Caveat Emptor -- Buyer Beware! I'm hoping here to be 'helpful' to those hurried or handicapped buyers who tend to believe in the forthright honesty of big business.
Requires 2 tablets to meet advertised dosageJun 30, 2010 Note that this product requires you to take two tablets to meet the advertised dosage. I didn't see this mentioned anywhere in the product info. So, 375 tablets is just 187.5 doses at the advertised 1500 mg.
good so farJun 13, 2010 cheaper than you can get at a pharmacy but works no difference, at least seems so
