Jobst stocking donnerMay 12, 2007
By Big Foot Jobst Stocking Donner
Good product that greatly assists in the toughest part of donning compression stockings, i.e., getting the thing started on your foot up to the heel. It's still a chore but the Jobst donner gets it done in about 1/3 the time. One caveat -- people with large, wide feet may find it a tight fit getting it over your foot. Would have helped me if it was 1/2 inch or so wider. Very well made, quality product.

Best thing since sliced breadNov 27, 2009
By Pam

When I was first prescribed support/surgical stockings I had an extememly difficult time getting them on (despite their directions) becasue of my hand weakness. After a few days, I couldn't even move my thumbs without pain caused by the amount of force required to pull the hose apart to get them on. This device has been a thumb-saver. Now, I can get the hose on pain free in a few minutes instead of taking 15-20 minutes in excruciating agony and expending trememdous effort. My only disappointment was the fact I was too cheap to purchase the dual model for pantyhose and have to do one leg then the other with this device (which is doable, but tricky). Would highly recommend for anyone who has to wear these garment, especially if they also suffer from hand weakness.

Wish I had known about it sooner...Dec 17, 2008
By R. Dalton Oh my gosh...this makes it so much easier to pull up the jobst stockings without getting too much pressure in one place...especially around the ankles or behind the knee.

Takes some practice and it worksApr 11, 2008

My dad needed another strong person to get his compression stockings on--prior to this device. This doctor recommended item did the trick--after several tries.
It gives back independence and is therefore greatly beneficial. I'd asked many people about such an aid and no one had experience with it.

hard to use, close to zero refund on returns to Pro TherapyMay 18, 2010
By Diana Unless you have tried this in person and are sure it will work for you, don't order from Pro Therapy Supplies. Although they provide free shipping, on returns they subtract the original shipping cost (about $10) plus a restocking fee of 10%. On top of that, the buyer has to pay for the return shipping (another $10), basically leaving $5 left on a $28 purchase.
I tried it, my mother-in-law tried it, and her caregiver tried, and agreed that it was just as hard or harder to use it than to put on the stockings by hand.
