 BE VERY CAUTIOUS WITH THIS PRODUCTJul 07, 2011

I have used this several times before for soar muscles and it has always been fine. I used it as directed, JUST AS I ALWAYS DO, two days ago and had to go to the hospital because of horribly painful blisters that were appearing on my leg. The ER Doctor told me I had 2nd Chemical Burn from ingredients from this product. ON TOP OF THAT I CAN'T EVEN CONTACT ICY HOT CUSTOMER SUPPORT. DON'T MESS WITH IT!

I love Icy Hot and have used it since high school. Actually, I have not had to use it since then being that I am not as active as I was back then (I was a 14-18 yr old athlete and now I am a "not as active and in my 30s" year old). I recently had a baby and am now suffering from what some call "mother's wrist" and it really hurts. I am sure those who have carpal tunnel know what I mean. Back in the day, I used the cream because they didn't have all of these new and improved forms of Icy Hot. I bought this roll on and the kind that you can wrap around your body and it sticks. Both are awesome! Yes, that strong menthol scent is still there but that is what makes it work! This roll on is convenient and I can still do chores, work on the computer, etc, without feeling like I am leaving a menthol mess everywhere. I got this at my local drug store for about [...] bucks.

This is really a great way to have Icy Hot on the ready. I keep one in my tool pouch and one next to the bed. There isn't that greasy mess on your hands after applying this its just like rolling on deodorant. This is the only way I buy Icy Hot now.
Causes more pain than it relievesMay 18, 2012

I am normally a big fan of Icy Hot. I love that it's a topical analgesic, so I can use it for localized muscle pain either instead of or in addition to using a oral analgesic like Tylenol.
But no matter how lightly I apply the "No Mess" roller stick, it ends up burning and hurting for an hour or more. There's the usual hot and cold sensations at first, but then it's just HOT and doesn't give me any pain relief. And no, I'm not applying it on broken skin or slathering it on too thick. Two or three times now it's kept me awake in pain when I applied it before bed. I have to apply an ice pack or similar to get relief.
So use caution. If this product works for you, great! But try a very light amount first and have an ice pack or cool washcloth ready in case you have the same reaction I do. I guess I'll be sticking with the cream another lower-concentration product.

my husband suffers from a very bad back and we tried it from a friend we looked it up on computers and now he says he cant live without it, it brings him great comfort, so he would really recommend it to anyone, the only down fall is the price its so cheap on line but by the time the exchange rate comes in and postage and packaging it works out at nearly 40 euro.
