Couple of things... "review" is for Ester-C 500mg 300qty coated tablets (enhanced absorption with C-Sorb, patented formula etc.)
This "review" is not about the quality of the vitamin or wheter it's any better than any other C out there. I suspect it's a fine choice though. We take it. Just thought I'd comment on the size of the pill and the price.
My family has been taking this EXACT product daily now for at least two years. I choose this product and we don't have any problems to report. This product may even contribute to a praise we have ... my son's moderate to severe asthma is gone (we haven't had an issue in over a year). Changes we implemented with him include the following daily: 6 Gummy Vites multi-vitamin (so more than the recommended dose), 500mg Ester-C, 2000iu vitamin D3, 400iu vitamin E, and no milk or yogurt (so cut out most dairy, still allow some butter and cheese)...along with a lot of prayer, and the fact that he's getting older.
Regarding the tablet size ... it's 3/4" long and just over 1/4" wide (5/16" to be exact). We find it to be a normal size. My family doesn't have any problems swallowing this tablet. In fact, my two children, ages 5 and 7, have been swallowing one every morning for two years now - and never have a problem at all. ...Yes, both of my kids take "pills". I taught both to swallow pills at the age of 3 (by necessity with my daughter when she was 3 due to medical issues, and since she was able to do it at 3 years old, I taught my son when he turned 3 as well).
Regarding the price... I don't buy them here. I get this exact product (500mg / 300 count) from my local Sam's Club for LESS THAN $15.00. (I give it 4 stars because I think it's pricey)
Hope this helps answer some questions about size of the tablet and maybe the ease of swallowing.

I found Ester-C to be exceptional. It's an effective way to get your daily vitamin C and is easy on the stomach. I found the pills to be smaller than other Vitamin C pills I've tried and unless you have the trachea of an ant, this pill should be no problem with a cold glass of water. The caplets are just what they claim to be and safer in that they cannot be tampered with in the way that capsules have been tampered with in the past. I have full faith in this product.

Thought I had given a review long ago as this product was recommended by a Specialist many years ago but I could not find it until 2 yrs ago in my local CVS and now just about everywhere in the last year.
From the time I started taking this vitimin problems like bruising of the skin, problems with gum ulcers and other oral pains just plain went away.....also, I take 1 in the morning and one in the evening even though it is advertised as a 24hr pill.....normally all vitimin C's are removed by the body within 12 hrs simply by urination.
Have several specialists I must go to and they seem to know nothing of the DIGESTABLE properties of this vitamin...a pity for all those who like me have a horrendous digestive system...I've been told by several doctors I have the worst symptoms they have ever seen as I can digest VERY FEW drugs of any kind including most foods as well.
In any case, I have tried just about every Vitimin C available, and they are many, with ZERO results!
Out of desperation I have tried Ester-C and have had a wonderful experience. My wife now uses them also and BOTH of us have experienced hardly any colds at all in the last two years!!!!!
Would recommend to everyone in general and ESPECIALLY those who have poor digestive systems.

Over priced but it was what I needed. This is a product that can be beneficial to anyone who has arthritis. Talk to your doctor, but it has helped me before and after two total knee replacement surgeries.

Over the last few years, I started having stomach problems with the "cheap" Vitamin C. This product is, indeed, stomach friendly. I've been using this for seven months and have not had any stomach problems. The size of the tablets are smaller than the 1 g tablets which are almost an inch long.
Concerning the reviewer who mentioned laboratory testing, cite it next time! According to the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University "[a] small published study of vitamin C bioavailability in eight women and one man found no difference between Ester-C® and commercially available ascorbic acid tablets with respect to the absorption and urinary excretion of vitamin C...". Check out the web site lpi.oregonstate.edu, click on Micronutrient Information Center. I take Ester-C for the stomach friendliness not because I believe Ester-C to have increased bioavailability.
