Defective itemNov 12, 2003
I wanted to give NO stars for the cart, but Amazon doesn't have that rating. The cart arrived very fast; unfortunately, it arrived in a seriously defective and unusable state. On the rear axle, the inner cotter pin holes were misplaced allowing only enough room to use one, not both; also, both rear wheels were impaired, with one seriously warped in both spokes and rubber. The packaging was minimal and not enough to protect the item.3 stars to TrueValue - they responded immediately and promised to refund my purchase without return, but now I have to reorder it. It would have been nicer if they had just sent me another. Because of this experience, I will be using another vendor and it will take much longer to get, but hopefully it will arrive in good order.

Sturdier Than Most But Needs Careful HandlingJan 30, 2010

My husband and I used to use a so-called "granny cart" 15 years ago for shopping on foot when we didn't have a car. We're back to that again, hoofing or riding the bus wherever we go here in town. My husband, who is not handy, put the Narita Trading NTCoo1-RD Jumbo shopping cart together quickly and was impressed with how sturdy it seemed. After using it just once, however, one of the wheels warped, and that is how he found out that when going up porch or other stairs, high curbs and such, extra care must be taken. He was able to return the wheel to its proper alignment--I think he used standard pliers, but just be forewarned, this cart--the wheels, I mean--isn't like a baby stroller; you have to go slow; otherwise, in the weeks that we've been using it for grocery shopping, laundry, errand running with are bags and coats in it (we're in Colorado) it has performed fine. We are getting a second one as a back up, and for me to use along with the other when my husband and I have large shopping trips to take. I am disabled so I can't handle much weight but it'll be great to have two, especially in case one breaks unexpectedly.

Black Jumbo Shopping CartJun 27, 2007
By Judith Hellerstein Item came shrink wrapped and was defective. I would not buy it again from the store that Amazon partnered with since although they gave me my money back for it. It was a real hassle since the store first wanted me to try and return it, but would not give me a box to put it in. They told me their carrier,FedeX Ground would supply a box but that was untrue. Fedex will not take items without a box. Then they told me to tie up the item and give it to Fedex, but Fedex refused as they do not pick up items that are not in a box. This proved to be a very big problem and caused me much aggravation.

I like it, but.....Jul 23, 2007
By Becky Thatcher This cart is very capacious and easily brought six bags of groceries into the house from the car. However, it is not as easily maneuverable as it could be because the smaller wheels don't swivel. This could be helpful when I would like to push the cart in front of me rather than pull it behind.
