sadly, another worthless childproofing device :(Mar 23, 2009
By Toni M. Virta I chose this stove guard after reading poor reviews of others (this one hadn't been reviewed yet, so I took a chance). The center of the guard is pretty solid, but the sides are barely held on by non-adjustable top clasps. They hang off the middle section like flimsy wings. My one-year-old pulled the sides right off, and of course, that's right where the burners are! My husband grabbed him just the second before he touched the hot pan on the stove! We replaced the Dreambaby today with a beefier stainless steel guard from Ikea.

cheap designSep 20, 2009
By S. Hood The guard covers the stove well, but it is secured by cheap double sided tape. It is easy to remove the guard once the tape is secured, but when it is in place, the weight is too much for the tape. You'll need to buy some additional double sided tape to reinforce it. If I had to do it again, I would have spent more money for a better built guard, although this one does cover the stove front well.
Effective, but tape is coming upSep 11, 2011
By JenPin This item is secured to the stove with double sided tape. The tape has already begun to come up by the burner that I use most often. It still works, and is effective. Little one has not been able to grab the stove top at all.
