 Great grill with one dangerous flawSep 06, 2009

I wanted to add a review here, even thought this is not the actual grill we bought. We have the Fold N Go without the electronic ignition. I've seen them both, and they're identical except for the ignition (and the color)
The grill is great, and you can read my full review under the other product heading. But I did want to make people aware of a potentially dangerous flaw. The silver drip pan located in the bottom of the grill is simply pressed sheet metal, and the result is that the edges are VERY sharp. I was washing the pan after the first use, and the edge sliced my finger open like a razor blade. The cut was fairly deep, and although it did not require medical attention, it could easily have been much worse. It's not enough to cause me to return the grill, but I really want to make people aware of the problem. I have also written to Coleman about it, and await their response.

Heats up nice and fast. Cooks 3-4 hamburgers at a time easily and fast. Catches ALL grease and fat in tray so there is no mess under it.
The push button starter actually works!!!

Get the blue it's $10 cheaper and hides stains better. Coleman Fold N Go Grill
Pros:
Grills like a full grill (see tips below though).
It's mostly sheet metal; light weight and portable like a camping grill.
The grill has easy clean removable rack and bedpan.
Holds 4 burgers easily.
Cons:
Expensive.
It's sheet metal; recommend thorough cleaning after each use, since sheet metal will probably rust easily.
It's sheet metal; construction may appear cheap, even though it's the only way to keep it lightweight.
Notes:
Great if you live in an apartment, with a small balcony (especially if they looks down on keeping grills). You can bring it out and put it away quite easily. This is the main advantage for those concerned about theft.
I highly recommend getting a hose that allows you to plug in to a normal size propane tank, a grill lighting wands, and a table to put it on (if you don't have one already). This cost adds up, but it may be your only option for urban grilling. It does what it promises and if you treat it nicely, it will last.
Finally, the flame is a beautiful blue, sometimes invisible. On a full size grill, the flame is usually yellow and 3-4" away from your food. The flame is really hot and really close. So you should start cooking with it on the lowest setting until you get used to it.

this little grill cooks very fast, but it may take you a few tries to figure out where the hot spots are.my only complaints are that the lid latch should lock closed but does not, the sheet metal screws that hold the feet on should be way larger,and the ignightor which worked the first few times now works when it feels like it even after meticulouce cleaning.over all a very handy grill.

Pros: It does grill well. Its hot enough to sear. Fairly easy to clean. Its small enough to fit about anywhere.
Con: The latch does not work.
Thoughts: The shape allows 4 1/4 hamburger patties and that's it. Will grill chicken pieces. Catches the grease.
Design wise, I would like to see it straight sided to the limits of its current size, it would hold a couple of more burgers and would be more useful to me.
I would buy this product again, it was 1/2 the price of the next competing product that would fit our space in the Truck Camper.
