Certain Dri Works For Most People Who Sweat ExcessivelyAug 08, 2008

I have used Certain-Dri for about 5 years now. It is a milder version of the prescription strength Drisol, an aluminum chloride product.
I apply it to my underarms about every other day. It does not need to be used each day. In fact, if I use it every day, my underarm tissue becomes inflammed, dry, may crack, and be painful.
Certain-Dri works best if it applied at night before bedtime. I have noticed upon application that the solution may burn a tiny bit, especially if I do not air out my armpits and get the solution to dry. If I leave it wet (closing my armpits with my arms), it may burn a bit and also cause an itching sensation. If so, I spread it around with the palm of my hand and air dry the area and then the pain goes away.
No doubt about it - it works! It will dry out underarms (that is the only place I have used it). I imagine it will work on other areas of the body just as well.
Certain-Dri does not have much of an odor to it, so I do recommend using a scented deodorant or anti-perspirant in addition to Certain-Dri.
I think you will be pleased with the results. If it does not work for you, then I would recommend you upgrade to Drisol, which your doctor can prescribe for you.

Amazing!Jul 12, 2008
By Gabby I've always been careful shopping for clothing that would help hide wetness. Now it's been a month and no signs of wetness. I even played softball and was perspired but not my underarms. This is an incredible product. I am now using it only 2 times a week and using the AM Certian Dri daily in the mornings. No odor...no wet stains. It's silly but I am constantly raising my arms like the commnercials just because I can now. I've used many other products but nothing has worked like this one. I don't have to scrub my clothing anymore. I've recommended it to many of my friends. Thanks a million.

Worth it!Jul 03, 2007
By Christina Garcia In the beginning I was a little disappointed because like most things I expected it to work right away but it took or month or so for me to notice a change in my perspiration. I highly recommend this is you have a problem with sweating. I'm so glad I found this because it truly does work.

Best Antiperspirant ever!Mar 04, 2010
By JINI I have recommended Certain Dri to many family and friends who now use Certain Dri. I have used this product for 45 years, used to be hard to find, but so happy to see more outlets for this great product. Try it and it will do great if you follow directions, use at night, and apply sparingly, do not use on freshly shaved skin, if it irriates the skin, use less, and you can powder the area to relieve the irriation. Great product!!!

Great Product, Helped a LotDec 11, 2010
By Alanna I was using Secret Clinical Strength (the waterproof kind) and it seemed to help slightly, but I still would sweat through a shirt within thirty minutes instead within ten minutes as I had with previous antiperspirants. My sweating problem was majorly embarrassing and it took a long time for me to realize that it WASN'T NORMAL. I was denied a prescription to Drisol and told that my skin was too sensitive to handle it. In desperation, I tried Certain Dri while still being told my skin would be too sensitive.
Surprisingly, other than a few incidences of itching after applying too much, my skin has not reacted poorly to Certain Dri at all! I do still sweat through my shirts, but it takes hours, not minutes, to do so and my wetness seems to decrease the longer I use this product so perhaps over time all wetness will be eradicated. I have used this product since late September of this year. For now, this product gets a 4-star rating because while it helped a lot, I still sweat through my shirts.
