By A. River This does do a good job of curing chapped lips, but it feels very thick and heavy on the lips when compared to the liquid kind of carmex. I have the strawberry flavored one in both liquid and stick form, and they both taste/smell the same. Do they smell/taste like strawberries? Not at all. Not even a little. It's the signature carmex smell mixed with something sweeter. Not pleasant smelling, really. Doesn't smell like fruit, either. When I take a good whiff, it smells a tiny tiny tiny bit like cinnamon. The rest is all carmex smell. And the taste? Well the taste is just plain gross. I don't know what the heck the other reviewer was thinking when they said it tasted better than normal chap stick. It tastes a bit like soap, and then mostly like carmex. There's a tiny bit of strawberry there, but not enough to make this worth it AT ALL. At first I thought "well maybe it's just rancid." I purchased two more later on, and realized that no, they were not rancid. They just smell and taste terrible.
If you don't like the regular Carmex OR Blistex, don't buy this. If you want something that smells/tastes like strawberries, don't buy this.
I have a strawberry flavored chapstick from the Bonnebell Lip Smackers brand that has no taste, smells fabulous, feels lighter, and unchaps my lips as good as this one does. EOS does a better job at unchapping my lips than this product and smells better, but it does not smell quite as good as the lip smacker.
I will never by another lip balmJun 09, 2010
By AnnaC I am one of those people who always have lip balm and apply it often. I keep tubes in all of my bags, my desk drawer at work, and on my nightstand. I have tried many different brands over the years (I am not a teenager) and once I found this, I've thrown all my others away. My mother always told my to use Carmex for chapped lips but the original smell/taste is not great. This strawberry flavor smells nice and it keeps my lips hydrated longer than many other types of lip gloss/balm. Love it.

Pretty good Carmex. Can b a little tough as if it's frozen. Tastes much better than a lot of other chapstick.
