5Great for venous insufficiencyNov 30, 2009
By C. Drennan "Budget Guru"
I am only 26 with venous insufficiency and have to find compression stockings that don't make me feel like I am wearing grandma stockings. White and tan stockings feel like they are obviously compression stockings to me, I wish that they made these in cute colors or maybe argyle :) but I like them in black and don't think that anyone has ever realized that I am wearing compression stockings. If they fit properly they are VERY hard to put on but that is kinda the point. They have a very comfortable heel and toe box for my women's size 11 feet. They stay up on their own but maybe once a day have to be adjusted to avoid pinching at the ankle. I have several pairs of these in black along with a few other brands but after almost 2 years these are the only ones that have no rips or tears and the elastic is just as strong as it was new. I wash them in the washing machine on a normal cycle with the rest of my clothes but let them air dry and they dry very quickly. When I am on my feet all day wearing these I never have any pain in my legs and would recommend Jobst to any of my patients. (I am also a Registered Nurse.)

5If they don't work to reduce swelling, use them to build hand and finger strengthDec 17, 2010
By W. Oliver "BookKnight"
As I get older, and heavier, etc., my sit down job tends to cause my ankles to swell which annoys me.. alot. Sometime in the past I bought a cheap pair of compression stockings but they really didn't do any good. Then I notice these and decided to try them out. I haven't seen my ankles in about 6 months.. at least. After wearing these for two days, the swelling has disappeared. Now, I put them on every morning (well, not the same pair). I've got one open toed and one closed toed.

The only thing is that they are (and no real surprise) something of a challenge to put on but on the positive side I think I'm building up my hand and finger strength.

These are high quality and high compression and do exactly what they were designed to do.

5Great SavingsMay 30, 2010
By B. Williams "The Deuce"
I have been wearing these stocking for over 20 yrs now and the price was getting to be close to $70 a pair at our in town medical supply store. It was a blessing to be able to buy the same item on Amazon.com for about half the price. The stockings work great.

5god sendOct 16, 2009
By MrsH
I'm a nurse and since I started wearing these during my 12hr shifts its been remarkable how much better I feel! No more insane fatigue and aching in my legs. I don't have varicose veins that I can see, but my job and genetics both spell disaster for me on the vein front. Its made a huge difference for me energy wise at work and once I get home after a long day at work. The pressure 30-40mmHg sounds like a lot, but it is quite comfortable. Just make sure to put these on FIRST thing in the morning or else you might have a hard time getting them on. :) Anyway, buy these, your legs will thank you. I will definitely be buying this product again!

5I love these!Nov 07, 2010
By Dallas "Lynda"
I had foot surgery and couldn't move around for months, these compression hose helped with my circulation and kept my legs from aching. I would recommend them for anyone who has poor circulation or tired achy legs.
