Best solution I've ever used.Aug 10, 2009
By Emmalynn I do not understand why people in America cannot read instructions thorougly and follow them when it comes to their bodies or health. If used properly as stated in the instructions given, this product works wonderfully. I have tried MANY brand named and store branded contact solutions and none have ever cleaned my lenses like this has. I always have problems after wearing contacts for a few days that proteins from allergies, etc build up on my lenses tremendously. I pretty much would have to replace my lenses every week instead of every month like I'm supposed to. Last night had finally ticked me off. I always clean my lenses after removing them and before reinserting them. I went out for the day with a friend and within 2 hours, my left lens was so foggy and icky that I could not wear it and had a terrible headache by the time I got home. Stopped by WalMart and picked this up because I thought to myself "okay, well, if this really cleans like it promises it does, I should have no problem wearing my lenses tomorrow" (as they were only a week old). Sure enough, read the directions, stored them as told, woke up this morning to what could be as good as brand new out of the case lenses. It has now been 6 hours since putting them in this morning and they are still just as clear as when I put them in... no build up still. Best of all, they DID NOT STING!! If you use the solution as only a CLEANER and not a rewetter, quick rinse, etc, you will not burn your eyes and cause damage to them! This is NOT to be used as a rub, rinse, and reinsert contact lens solution. Unless you can leave them to clean for 6 hours (typically overnight), DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!. You ABSOLUTELY have to leave the lenses alone to soak for the full 6 hours so that the peroxide in the solution neutralizes to water. Otherwise you WILL cause yourself serious pain and possible damage from the peroxide. Of course, I will still be weary of it's cleaning ability for the first week, but if it continues to clean anything like it did last night, I will be done shopping around for good solution!

Read instructions, works great, saves on contact lensDec 21, 2008
By oscar I was skeptical of this product before using as I ordered it by mistake. After using it I was very pleased. My normal contact lens typically lasts only 2 weeks before becoming uncomfortable. With this solution, they last for a couple of months. It must be the hydrogen peroxide cleansing without the typical chemicals.

If you follow instructions, this product is safe, gentle, and effectiveOct 16, 2008
By Pennsylvania Reader Clear Care is a non-irritating cleaning and disinfecting solution. Obviously, you must read and follow the instructions--do not put it directly in your eye or use it to rinse a lens before putting it in your eye. It's a good idea to keep a bottle of saline solution handy to re-wet or rinse lenses, to store during a quick nap, and so on. But if you can wait for it to work and do not need to clean your lenses in order to wear them immediately, then you will enjoy the gentlest, least irritating lens cleaner available. The difference between this and regular "all-in-one" lens cleaners is like night and day. Warning: Be careful about placing the lens in the lens care device. I nicked the edge of a lens by placing it slightly off-center. Adding March 2011: Amazon's current price is a little bit higher than my corner drugstore's non-sale price (about 10 cents per oz. more), but reasonable.

don't buy this product if you aren't going to bother to read and follow the instructions!!! the instructions aren't that hard to follow. i've only ever been able to wear rgp lenses because of my astigmatism. clear care is the best stuff i've ever used! i am not going back to boston and those other cleaners they have out there. i started using clear care 2 weeks ago and my lenses have never been cleaner. i have had no problems with anything at all. if you had problems with this product well, you should have followed all instructions.

Seems to work wellMay 31, 2010

I've been wearing contact lenses for nearly 25 years and switched to disposable contacts about six years ago. Typically, I can get three to four weeks out of one pair of disposable lenses until the build-up causes discomfort. I decided to try this product last night when my current lenses (which I've been wearing for a month) began irritating my eyes. After letting my lenses soak overnight in the Clear Care solution, they are quite comfortable again. If you follow the instructions accordingly, this product does work very well. The solution is expensive, IMO, but if you can make a six-month supply of contacts last the whole year without giving up your comfort...this is money well-spent.
