Works Well - RecommendedJul 26, 2011

Beano just works. We travel by car a lot with my aging mother who reacts very badly to most gas causing foods and, to complicate matters, also has lost her sense of smell so she doesn't realize what she inflicts on us in the enclosed vehicle. We now have her take beano when eating and it really does stop the reaction, which allows us to keep taking mom on road trips.

try accuflora insteadJan 21, 2011
By Stuckinlb Beano worked well for me for about a year, but its effectiveness wore off after that. The good news is that I actually found a permanent cure for my digestive ailments using a probiotic called accuflora. I discovered this by accident and after 12 days of accuflora, I was able to eat beans, onions, cabbage, and bell peppers again. Unfortunately nuts and pears still give me gas, but at least I can now handle all vegetables.

By bullthistle It didn't help one iota but everyone is different. When a drug that costs $1000/month doesn't work most "experts" are clueless so tread lightly.

This was recommended by my MD as he said we loose enzimes as we age and that is why we tend to produce more gas. I have just started using the product & not very regularly. So far not that much of a change. Probably need to use it more.
