The meter makes testing so simple! I don't have to do anything but remember to test when my doctor tells me to, and it even helps me remember to do that! I recently have been put on a medication that is supposed to help me with my after meal sugar levels, and remembering to test 2 hours after I eat isn't always easy...I usually forget...but this meter has an alarm that helps me remember! I actually didn't even know that until my doctor showed me it could. I don't have to use it all the time, but it makes it easy when I choose to. As far as the other review regarding the lancing device - call the company, I am sure they would send you one - they send me batteries whenever I need them! I couldn't be happier!

 Open box!! No lancing device!Oct 20, 2010

I bought this expecting this to be in the box with everything including the lancing device. I was wrong. It was open-box with the case, instruction booklets and the meter. No lancing device. Nowhere does it say on this page that it has no lancing device or is open-box. I'm not happy. Now I have to hunt down a lancing device for it.
