 Cleared up my super dry skinOct 28, 2011

I read the reviews on this product and decided to try it. I couldn't be happier. This lotion has cleared up the cracks in my skin. I have had dry legs since I moved to the high mountains in a desert region. I have lived with this dry skin for 20 years. I am so happy to have soft smooth legs once again.

I was actually looking up body lotions with Sweet Almond Oil and the Aveeno Creamy Moisturizing Oil came up with the best reviews. From there I checked out the Aveeno Moisturizing Body Wash and this also had very excellent reviews. So I purchased both. I am very happy with these products. I used to use Olay Body wash but am now completely in love with these two products. They smell really good and make your skin feel dewy and soft all day. I also love that they contain Sweet Almond Oil, which is very difficult to find in products any longer perhaps because it is an expensive ingredient.

I have allergies to a lot of things, sensitivity to most fragrances, especially strong perfumey ones, and bar soap leaves a residue (we have hard water.) This is a nice, mild body wash and leaves my skin very soft.
It makes a mild lather, and I can even use it for shaving. I like to use it on a nylon scrub puff and I find I don't have to use a moisturizing lotion after I shower or bathe, but it doesn't feel oily or greasy. The gel is rather thick, so it sits on the puff very well. It is a bit better in the shower than the tub, seems to leave a bit of a residue if you bathe. The scent is mild, like oatmeal or oatmeal cookies.
One of the ingredients, in fact, the major ingredient, is sodium laureth sulfate, which is a detergent, somewhat less strong than sodium lauryl sulfate, and there is some feeling that shampoos and gels should be sulfate-free, but in my case, all the sulfate-free products leave me very itchy, even the scent-free ones, so for me they don't work. This does.

I recently bought this item for the first time and was pleasantly surprised when I used it. I really like shower baths and this Aveeno Body Wash felt so nice with the oatmeal mixture. It takes just a small amount on your washcloth to make your body feel so clean and fresh. I buy many items like this from Amazon, usually when on sale, and have always found them to be dependable.
