5This stuff is practically a life saver!Feb 16, 2006

For as long as I can remember I've had very dry cracked lips. Sometimes it would be so bad that I would have pieces of dried skin hanging loose on my lip. I tried almost every product ever recommend to me including expensive Skinceuticals Anti-Oxidant lip repair and Khiel's Lip Balm to no avail. While some of these products seemed to help a bit, in the end nothing really came close to Aquaphor.

Aquaphor stays on the lips longer and seems to actually work to make my lips not as dry and definitely more smooth and soft. I only have to apply it a few times a day and my lips are fine. It has been a godsend for me. I don't consider it expensive because a little goes a long way and compared to the other products I tried, it's cheap.

I wish they made Aquaphor in a lip balm applicator size and with sunscreen. When I go outside, I have to use a separate sunscreen product on my lips (sometimes over the Aquaphor) in order to protect agains sun damage.

I'm glad I found this product and will certainly continue to use it and drink plenty of water as well.

This stuff is incredible. Like a reviewer below my dermatologist recommended it whenI decided to use Accutane. You hear horror stories about people's lips cracking and bleeding while using Accutane, but not only did my lips NOT crack and bleed, they actually stayed soft and smooth! I am ADDICTED to Aquaphor. Even though I ended the Accutane a year ago, nothing else does the job for me anymore. I wish they made it in a smaller lip-balm size (it's not exactly sexy to pull a big tube of this out in public), but it's so worth it. It doesn't taste like anything (Vaseline has that weird petroleum taste), and it's smooth and not at all greasy. My last boyfriend kept marveling at how soft my lips are- and I think I owe it all to Aquaphor! ;)

This could be the best beauty and skin care product I have ever tried because of its versatility, price, and most of all, efficacy. My doctor recommended this product to me when I had to go on Accutane. As we were discussing the potential side effects, she said that one thing was certain: I would suffer from the worst chapped lips I had ever experienced in my life. And to combat the worst chapped lips of my life, she had only one recommendation: Aquaphor.

Well, since then I don't go anywhere without it, even though I finished Accutane a few months ago. While I was on it, I couldn't believe how fantastic it was for my chapped lips. I put on a small dab onto my very dry lips several times a day. Even though it's basically a petroleum product, it has amazing staying power. My lips felt slick for hours after I applied, but not greasy.

Now that I'm not on Accutane, I still use it for my lips. But now that it's winter I slather it on all over my hands and on my cuticles a few times a day. If a random patch of dry skin turns up, I'll rub it in there, too. A few weeks ago I accidentally over waxed my upper lip area and developed a scab. I rubbed Aquaphor on there every night and it healed quickly and scarring appears to be minimal. This week I decided to put it on dry patches on my scalp to combat winter dandruff and it seems to be helping! This is an amazing product!

My daughter owns a restaurant and frequently suffers burns. Her dermatologist recommended Aquaphor. It helps the burns heal quickly and without scarring, and now I use it too, for burns, dry skin,, dry lips, and general skin care. This product fulfills its promises.

5Great for chapped skin!Jan 12, 2006

We live in Colorado...a very dry climate. Especially in the winter, my daughter's cheeks sometimes get very dry and chapped. This product is great for healing/protecting.
