I have used this product for many, many years. (but not for it's intended use!) It used to be readily available from the pharmacy but that has not been the case for a long time. Was really happy to find on-line. It is useful for anything on the skin that itches or hurts: rashes, bug bites, chapped areas. Don't believe that there is anything else sold OTC that has anything near the strength of Americaine.

Buy other stuff for the price and see the effect. This stuff works and is all that it claims to be. Am not sure what you use it for, but for what we do... it is great.

I've used this ointment for years for any type of insect bites to stop itch and/or stinging.When I could no longer find this in the stores I went to Amazon.com.

I used this during my recovery from the birth of my son. This was provided to me in the hospital to provide topical relief for my tearing/stiches. This ointment really did provide much need pain relief.

I've been using this for my daughter's eczema for a year now. It relieves her pain and itching instantly and I usually only need to apply it twice daily whenever she has a breakout. I've got a stock of it in my bathroom now. I love that it isn't greasy or runny like other (eczema) creams and it washes off my hands easily with no residue.
