What terrible smell? I think it is so exaggerated when the 'scent' was described about AmLactin in general. I tested this product on my upper arms, and since it is obviously a non fragrance formula, and MEANT TO BE for treating skin issues like KP and dry patches, I wasn't gagging or cringing, the smell was bearable and more a faint smell of ammonia but goes away in a few minutes. Now the real test begins. I will give it 6-8 months, and will come back to add more on this review if it indeed at least helped reduce the KP and lessen the scarring from all the years having this skin issue.

Shipping was quick and the product was a little cheaper than our local stores.
As for quality, this AmLactin purchase was no different from any other I have purchased.

Would give it 5 stars but find it cheaper at Costco. Was nicely surprised to find they now carry this! Used this now about 3 months and the red bumps, rash and rough skin are gone! The smell that's left on your skin is not pleasant (smells a bit like urine!) but goes away after a bit THANKFULLY! This is such a great product for extra dry skin. I will use this forever :)

Quite frankly I would never buy another Amlactin product....As someone who as used a lotion containing 12% urea cream,,,,,I don't understand how one product does what it is supposed to do i.e. keep moisture in the skin, while another Amlactin, doesn't do half the job.....Never again,,,
