Almost As Good As the Original Original AltoidsDec 06, 2008

A couple years after the Wrigley Company purchased Callard & Browser and moved the production of Altoids to Chicago, the strength of the famous curiously strong mints weakened. Altoids have been my mint of choice for a decade and I was upset to find it took three or four mints simultaneously to get the same kick that one Altoid used to give. Recently I saw these Crème de Menthe Altoids on display at a store and purchased one to try. I like the peculiar taste of crème de menthe and Altoids still remain my mint of choice. However, after trying the crème de menthe flavor of Altoids, I think I'm going to be changing from the "classic" Altoids to these. In my opinion the Crème de Menthe Altoids are much stronger than regular Altoids. In fact, the Crème de Menthe Altoids are just about as strong as the original Altoids used to be, but also have a sparkly crème de menthe aftertaste. These are now my favorite flavor of Altoids. For anyone who likes Altoids (especially if you miss the taste of the original Altoids) I highly recommend giving the Crème de Menthe Altoids a try.
