very useful way to spend money considering the penalties of a dui. dropped it once playing around with it when i was too drunk and the battery door broke. just used scotch tape and it was fine. it started acting weird for a day, but i replaced the batteries and it was fine. seems to be pretty accurate..

It's good to learn what your BA level is after having X number of drinks, X amount of time has elapsed and how much food you've eaten. Take notes a few times and pretty soon you really don't need to test your BA level. You just know from past results what to expect. Be sure not to test yourself if you've eaten or had anything to drink in the last 20 minutes as this can alter test results. Also the instructions say that sometime in advance of using this tester you should "prime" the tester (while completely sober of course) by blowing into it for 5 seconds (after not having anything to eat for the last 30 minutes). Once primed I think it's "ready to use" for 24 hours.

I was a little nervous about buying one of these cheep breath testers due to all ive heard about them not being accurate. This one is "spot on"!! It works fine, and appears to be very close to accurate. The only time you get bad or wierd reading is if you eat, drink or smoke before you use it. For accuarate readings you should wait the 20 mins like the instructions say before using. Over all, I am glad I got this product. Works great and it gives me a good idea if I should be driving or not after a party or a trip to the local watering hole.

This is a handy little device to have and always gathers a lot of attention at parties or when around groups of people drinking. I question the accuracy at times so if that's important to you I might recommend spending more money on something closer to police grade. Don't drink and drive.
